This fall the SNOLAB community will celebrate two significant anniversaries for Canadian astroparticle physics. We hope you will join us for Decades of Discovery: Celebrating the Legacy of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory.
This past October marked the 10th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Physics awarded to SNOLAB and Dr. Art McDonald for the discoveries made by the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory. This November will mark 20 years since the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory’s final data run, which concluded eight years of solar neutrino observations. Although that final run in November 2006 brought operations to a close, it also laid the foundation for what would become SNOLAB, establishing a new era of world-leading underground science in Canada.
Looking ahead, we are pleased to bring the community together to recognize the people and partnerships that have shaped our shared history and will define our future for Decades of Discovery, and we hope you can join us.
