Welcome!
As part of our long-term planning process, SNOLAB provides a community-wide review of potential future projects interested in access to the underground laboratory. The Future Projects Workshop (FPW) engage with collaborations that have an interest in using any space underground, including any of the large-scale experimental areas within SNOLAB, over the next five to ten years are invited to present their capabilities, R&D projects, status, plans, and infrastructure requirements.
Additionally, the workshop will briefly review SNOLAB’s new 15-Year Plan framework introduced in the 2024 Canadian Federal Budget to support Major Research Infrastructures. (See 15-Yr Plan tab for further details).
We look forward to hosting you in-person at SNOLAB!
Workshop Report
NEW: guidance on report writing is available as of the end of the workshop.
https://indico.snolab.ca/event/24/page/93-report-writing-guidance
The community is requested to write a report on the material presented at the workshop and the outcome of discussions at the workshop. We understand that not all material that is presented can be put into the report (e.g. because it is not published by the authors yet). However, where possible we ask every speaker to provide at least a "micro proceeding". This involves writing a minimal amount of information into the report:
- 1-2 paragraphs summarizing the key ideas, concepts, and themes from the material presented.
- About five bullets summarizing the key take-aways from the presentation and any important items that arose during discussions (either during dedicated discussion time or during breaks/lunches).
The goal is to capture the range of material presented at the workshop and leave information for the community to move ideas forward after the workshop. This report will be submitted to the arXiv by the corresponding author, who will be from the community.
If you wish to contribute, you will need access to the Overleaf document where this is being written. Please email Stephen Sekula (stephen.sekula@snolab.ca) and request access. The Workshop Report document is linked from the menu on the left side of the Indico main page.
